Airbus and Pagani (the same guys who do multi-million dollar carbon fiber hypercars) have teamed up to create a new cabin design for the ACJ319neo corporate jet. Ths cabin design, dubbed Infinito is unlike anything we've seen before, and much more impressive than the previous version. Here's a side-by-side comparing the old and new:
Outside of using carbon fiber, which we'll get to in a bit, the main feature is the digital ceiling. Not only will the ceiling display images, it can also provide a live view of the sky above the aircraft, giving the feeling of a glass roof.
From a carbon fiber perspective, you'll find the wonder material all around the cabin interior. Here's a list of visible locations we spotted:
- Seat frame (backs and sides)
- Cabinetry
- Wall-frame (surrounding glass wall splitting off living and dining room)
- Dining/conference table (including its legs)
- Work table surface
- End table surface near seat
- Stripe on the middle wall spawning entire cabin
Pagani also used their CarboTitanium material (a hybrid of carbon fiber and titanium, originally debuted in the Zonda Cinque) in the design, a material never before used in an aircraft.
