Got $160,000 burning in your pocket with the need for speed? Consider the world's only full carbon fiber Ducati 999s. For sale on JamesList, the motorcycle has been re-done from the chassis up using as many carbon fiber and titanium parts as possible.
The was hand built on a carbon fiber frame from Carbo-Tech, which alone costs over $10,000. Each carbon fiber part was honed and polished and then buffed to a high gloss with multiple lacquering.
The engine was tuned up to 1037 ccm by one of Germany's most famous motorbike tuners (BeFaster). The engine now puts out 170 hp, allowing it to run 0-60 in less than 3 seconds with a top speed over 186mph. Here's a list of important modifications that were done:
- Carbon fiber frame by CarboTech
- Fairing and oil cooler by Febur
- Braking system by Beringer
- Shock absorbers from Oehlins
- Full titanium exhaust system from Moto Corse
- Racing suspension unit from Wilbers
- Rims from BlackstoneTec
- Much more
All of the carbon fiber and titanium helped shave the total weight down to just 143 kg.
With just a few kilometers on the odometer, it would be a perfect addition to your high-end motorcycle collection. At $160,000, it makes it one of the most expensive motorcycles in the world.
