Got a good test there the other week and while it did invert in strong wind it snapped right back into shape
Not good. This umbrella is no different from the $19.99 found in neighborhood convenience stores. It looks cheap and it is cheap. This handle, the frame, and the fabric all need help. It may last forever, as you claim, but it certainly looks disposable
Over priced! The only carbon on this thing are few support rods. Frankly the quality does not look any different than most umbrellas. I gave it an average rating because it does not look bad and it performs really no different. I just feel I got ripped off on price.
Hey Harold, thanks for purchasing our umbrella and we genuinly appreciate any feedback (good or bad!). I figured I'd take a quick moment to point some things out about the umbrella to show you how it is actually different, but not so obvious. The umbrella is constructed with a mixture of carbon fiber + stainless steel. All the ribs are composed of carbon fiber connected with polycarbonate joints and wholly supported by a patented stainless steel stem design. While the entire umbrella is not carbon fiber, the areas which utilize stainless steel are critical towards the umbrella’s longevity and performance. The umbrella opens like most other umbrellas however the innovation lies in the way it interacts against wind (especially very strong winds). It has a patented rib geometry which creates a flexibil design yet retains a core stiff profile using a dual rod layout. The core suspension system adds another tier in wind resistance in the umbrella like no other creating dynamic actuators to pivot and adjust against any form of wind. It works similar to an indepedant suspension found in race cars. Check out this wind testing video to see the suspension system in action: https://youtu.be/WEK7PDoDOi0
